- a piece of candle
- 30 cm. long thin jute or twine rope
- 2 pcs. big wooden bead
- 2 pcs. small wooden cube bead
- 1.5 cm in width red satin ribbon
- 2 pcs. of wooden button (not of the same size)
- a piece of green construction paper
- a green Sharpie or any permanent marker
- a pair of scissors
- a hot glue
- a thin metallic ribbon
Step 1: Cut the wrapping paper based on the height of the candle. Do the same for both wrapping papers.
Step 2: Cut small pieces from the long rectangle that was obtained from the first step. Take note that the height of the candle should be maintained and the width of this would vary based on your liking. But as an approximate, the width can be in between 3 to 5 centimeters.
Step 3: Roll the small pieces of wrapping papers. The diameter of each roll should be uniform although out to maintain good results afterwards.
Step 4: Hot glue the ends of each roll to permanent fix each of the small wrapping sticks.
Step 5: Stick the sticks together side-by-side. Make sure to alternately do this based on the color or the design of the wrapping paper. Make an approximate as to how long the sticks should be formed since this is dependent on the external surface area of the candle.
Step 6: Meet the ends of the wrapping sticks together and glue it into place.
Step 7: Insert the candle in the middle of the sticks made as well. Make necessary adjustments, if needed.
Step 8: Wrap the red satin ribbon around the candle and create a bow.
Step 9: Cut the excess from the ribbon bow.
Step 10: Cut four randomly sized holiday leaves in a piece of green construction paper.
Step 11: Add details to the leaves by drawing some veins on it in the middle using a green Sharpie.
Step 12: Place one leaf on top of the other in a V-shape orientation and glue it afterwards.
Step 13: Hot glue the leaves in the back of the red bow. Do this on both sided of the bow to make it proportional.
Step 14: Place the smaller wooden button on top of the bigger wooden button. Hot glue the buttons in the middle of the bow where the intersecting tie of the bow can be found.
Step 15: Insert the beads on the thin twine or thin jute and wrap it around the body of the Christmas candle. Tie it tightly around the candle to make sure that the beads won’t fall off.
Step 16: Done and ready to display! You can now use and display your newly revamped symbolic Christmas candle!
