STOP AND THINK!

Before you jeopardize your diet once again, stop and think. Stop trying to blame it on other people. You and only you are responsible for your actions. It is acceptable in this era to blame other people for what we do.

Well I have something to say, you are responsible. You are the one who gained weight. You are the one who ate too much. You are the one who puts the food in your mouth. If you are the person who shops and does the cooking then you are also responsible for the whole family’s eating habit.

No more excuses. It is time to be accountable for your actions.

Either you want to lose weight or you don’t. Today is the day for a wake up call. Now what are you going to do about it?

You might have over eaten and messed up on the exercising. So what are you going to do about it?

You have a choice either you can sit there and be miserable and feel a failure or you can forget the past and move on.

What are you going to do, stay being miserable or moving on to victory?

You have the power to do this, but only if you really want to. You might be thinking I am not losing weight, I am only gaining. Well as we said no more excuses. The only reason for not losing is within you.

You are eating too much and not exercising. Some of you may say I am eating too many calories. Hold it right there. How many calories were you eating so you gained weight? Do you think that chocolate bars, crisps, fries, burgers, sweets, cookies, cakes etc are empty calories? Well let me tell you they are more than the healthy foods you know you should eat. You can do it but you need to want to lose the weight.

Look and see what you are frightened of. Are you afraid of losing weight; are you afraid that people might see you as someone different? There may be lots of new feelings but you can be in control, just as you were with overeating. You need to take control of your eating no more excuses.

Exercise. You have loads of shopping to do, so walk, walk, walk around the malls and shops. Park the car and use the stairs rather than the lift. If you can run down the stairs then go for it. There is nothing like a cold breeze/gale to waken you up.

So it comes back to choices again. You have to make the choice to get up and move each day. You have to make the choice to eat healthily. You have to make the choice to drink your water. You have to make the choice to exercise. You have to make the choice to journal.

Finally you have to make the choice whether you want to continue your quest in healthy living. You have to chose to be victorious or a failure. The choice is with you. Until you decide what you want to do, you will remain trapped in failure and negativity.

So what are you going to do, what are you going to chose. No more excuses, just plain honesty. Many of you have already made the choice to stay fat, by the actions you are taking. You want to remain a failure, why because you love to have the pity party and have people pay you negative attention.

Dig deep and see what is in your heart. Stop saying the right things and say what you are really feeling. Today can be the start of a new life, but only if you want it. I can’t force you to change, the perfect diet can’t force you to change, your partner and family can’t force you to change. You have to take the first step and decide that you want to change.

Negative people tend to get into the habit of only speaking negative things. It takes 21 days to make a habit, so start today to speak positive. You have a glass half full of water what do you see, half full or half empty?

So today be positive, think positive thought see the glass half full rather than half empty.

I was talking to my personal trainer at the gym and he was talking about people losing weight. His comment was that people can know what to do, and how to do it, but until it comes from their heart they will never lose weight. You might know in your head how to lose weight but until it goes down to the heart then you will never keep to it. As it has been said before it is a change of thinking.
