Just like Sun Tzu, the great Chinese warrior, the first step to easing the pain of arthritis is to take a few moments to fully understand this disease. Once you understand what this disease is you can make educated decisions to fight this painful disease. So in this post I will be sharing some of the top myths about arthritis and then the facts about combating these myths so you can enjoy a pain-free lifestyle.

The first fact is over 60 million America are afflicted with the arthritis and countless others who may not know they are sufferers.

Myth: Arthritis is only associated with getting other.

Fact: The term “arthritis” is commonly used to describe almost 9 dozen different forms of joint and musculoskeletal issues. In addition, arthritis knows no age, race, nationality or creed. Individuals in their teens and younger suffer from arthritis pain as well as people 65 and older. In fact, 66% of all arthritis sufferers are under the age of 65. Caucasians, more than 65 million, make up the bulk of arthritis sufferers in the United States, while about 4.9 are African-American and over 3 million are Hispanic.

The most common and widely known forms of arthritis include Osteoarthritis (OA), Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) and Juvenile Arthritis (JA).

(OA) is a degenerative joint disease and is due to the breakdown of the cartilage between the joints. When this occurs the natural products of glucosamine and chondroitin are excellent ingredients to rebuild the destroyed cartilage naturally.

(RA) is due to inflammation in the joint lining which causes stiffness and swelling. The affected area is usually occupied by redness, too. The average number of times an individual patient visits a doctor due to arthritis is 3 – 4 times per year. Of course, this number depends on the severity of the problem. This includes shots, medication and other treatment issues. When compared to other diseases like heart disease or diabetes, arthritis is more costly.

In regards to the individual, this is more serious due to the fact it reduces mobility and the person is in continuous pain.

•Research to determine the underlying causes of arthritis and find more effective treatment and eventually a cure
